Yes we do a little! Thanks
No. Sale of alcohol on the spot.
Friendly greeting from the staff, classical music, soft light, good stuff. But the reason to return is the stirfry on crispy noodles. Wow. Pick your meat, chicken, beef, shrimp, you can't go wrong. It's all perfectly cooked and appetizingly presented. Even the imperial roll was a cut above. What can I say, it exceeded my expectations!
Montréal has a hard time differentiating between Chinese, Vietnamese and Thai. Within that context, this is OK.
The Pho was good, service was alright. I've seen better but I've definitely seen worse. It's an okay place for lunch on a workday
Excellent food and very nice staff... I would go back over and over! For me, this is clearly the best Pho around UQAM. The services is friendly and casual. The price is more then fair for the quantity and taste (the lunch menu goes for about 15$ and the regular menu goes for about 20-25 ... Both counting appetizers).
From the looks of it, I expect authentic and expertly done simple Vietnamese food, found in many similar restaurants across north America in cities with substantial Vietnamese population. The overall experience was disappointing. The spring roll, a staple in such restaurants, was clumsily made, fell apart when eaten, and was served with a seriously unpleasant sauce. The spicy pho version was decent, but the broth lacked the depth that is the hallmark of good pho, and honestly gave the impression of being made from a bouillon cube. Service was kind and efficient. What seriously marred my experience was the noise level in the restaurant, that was so high that I couldn't hear what was the waiter saying. Not all of it can be blamed on the restaurant, but people behave in a place in the norms that are acceptable in it. This level of yelling and screaming while eating should not be acceptable anywhere where other customers are trying to also eat and enjoy themselves.
Seems like a family restaurant. Service is on point but don't expect it to be super fast. Taxes are included in the prices, and it remains affordable in overall. You can aim for combos or pick specific meals and they are definitely tasty. Recommended 100%
Soup is really good. The spring rolls is not that good, sauce could be also better.
Awesome food at a great price point! Staff were super friendly!
Friendly stuff and flavourful broth. I always order the well-done beef pho which were great, tho last time my friend ordered a XL raw beef pho and it came not hot enough (or cuz they just gave too much meat) so the beef couldn’t be cooked and the broth tasted funny (a bit sour enough). But they offer a side soup for her to put the meat in. It didn’t help a lot but we appreciated the effort. Guess do go XL if you want the raw beef one.
The broth had a cardboard taste to it, not sure how else to explain it.. their ingredients are high quality, I could tell by the meat and great coffee. The service was exceptional, amazing staff!! But the broth... it really killed it for me unfortunately..
Good quality and service. I will be back for sure!
Friendly with nice service. Price is reasonable
Picked this place based on the reviews here. We’ve eaten Vietnamese food in many cities, and this was one of the most mediocre meals we have had. Maybe the pho is what’s good here. But what we ordered, imperial rolls, crispy noodles and shrimp, and chicken with mushrooms in peanut sauce, tasted like they came out of a package. The imperial rolls were as bad as frozen ones, the sauce on my chicken dish was gloppy, and the crispy noodles were like you buy off the shelf. Plus the menu at lunch is limited if you don’t want pho, which is why we ordered what we did. And not cheap. And BTW, only water to drink? I wouldn’t recommend.
Great place for friendly supper. Food fantastic and service great. Line up but worth the wait. Highly recommended by my girlfriends and I.
Had the beef brisket noodle soup, was great. And condensed milk coffee afterwards. Definitely a must!
